Our mission

Sourcing
Every factual claim should trace to a primary or reputable secondary source. We prioritize, in order:

How we track state legal status

Updates and corrections
When new information supersedes prior coverage, we update the affected page and note the change in the page history or in the state-page timeline. We do not silently edit substantive claims — material corrections include a dated note. Factual errors can be reported through the contact page; we aim to acknowledge corrections within seven days and publish a fix within fourteen.
